General Instructions

This course takes approximately 6 hours to complete. You can go through the course modules all at the same time or start and stop the course as your time permits. For each module, you can download an audio script and a copy of the PowerPoint slides in the resources section.

Please read and follow these instructions in order to access and complete this online course effectively.

For each module


The multimedia lectures will open in a new window and play automatically when you click on the icon above.

Once you have completed viewing the multimedia, close the window or tab and click the "NEXT>" or "<BACK" button on the page.

Quiz and Exercise
Answer the questions and/or exercises at the end of each module to assess your progress in learning the course content. Automatic grading is provided. Depending upon your result on a quiz, you may wish to re-play the particular module.

Certification Maintenance (CM) Credit

This course is offered free, thanks to a grant from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. To receive CM Credit, AICP members must first complete the course, and then register the activity in their CM log. It is not necessary to register prior to beginning the course. However, to receive CM credit members must fully complete a course evaluation.

Final Quiz

To receive Continuing Education credits for this course, you must score 70% or above on the final quiz.
