An Asynchronous Discussion Board is available 24x7 for posting comments, asking questions and sharing information with other course participants. The sites can be moderated by content experts or be non-moderated. Participants and a moderator can access at their own convenience. Comments, questions and answers are always available for viewing and for posting a response. Each person accessing the site, including moderators, can select to be alerted by email when anything is posted, instead of having to check the site frequently.
Where more intense interactivity among the participants and instructors is desirable, we can include full collaboration sites. A page for posting course announcements, a list of web links of interest to participants, a calendar of events, a page for sharing contact information, document sharing and post course surveys are just some of the other interactive tools that can be included in all learning sites.
